Welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Hello, Cebactokpatop, and welcome to OrthodoxWiki!

Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Please note that OrthodoxWiki is always in development, so not everything works quite right yet. You can help, though!

OrthodoxWiki is a community-edited encyclopedia of Orthodox Christianity. Articles are created and edited by our members, and so everything that we do here is subject to review and revision. The result is a true consensus product, with every interested editor contributing his own knowledge and writing skills. As such, when you feel that criticism of an article is warranted, we encourage you to join in and fix it! Don't worry about breaking anything or doing something wrong—the other editors here are happy to jump in and help you learn.

Protected because of edit warring and need (as sysop) to ensure that encyclopaedia doesn't become about an agenda; reverted because of falsities; dispute or contribute on article talk page. — by Pιsτévο talk complaints at 13:37, March 6, 2008 (PST)

As a sysop, it's my prerogative to make reversions without prior notification, if I feel they're warranted. In this case, my warrant was as noted on the article's Talk page, that your edits are very much reflective of how they've been in the past, representing a contentious Agenda, something that has no place on OrthodoxWiki. You have the option of either ceasing to operate in that manner or facing a ban. The choice is yours. You may regard this as your last chance. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 18:11, April 30, 2008 (UTC)

I'll take your response on my Talk page to mean, "No, I don't want to calm down and edit like a normal contributor." This account has been banned for apparently unrepentant contentiousness on the part of its editor. (I suspected as much upon examining w:Talk:John Zizioulas.) —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 18:31, April 30, 2008 (UTC)

As noted by FrJohn, this user account is being given a second chance at uncontentious contribution to the wiki. I do hope you'll take advantage of it and change tactics. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 18:20, May 1, 2008 (UTC)
That is not true. FrJohn reverted your misuse of the sysop powers you were given, and restored my original chance. But, it appears that you did not learn anything from it. Cebactokpatop 19:22, May 1, 2008 (UTC)

Christian Principles

Hi, I wanted to put my two bobs in - only because as a "User" of Orthodox Wiki I am starting to get a little annoyed by the amount of attention "John Zizioulas" gets as compared to other MORE important Christian articles! I dont know who this Metropolitan is and nor do I care because he has only one judge - that is God. My point is, WE as Christians need to learn (as the Apostle Paul says in Acts) - you can say something once, twice but if you notice on the third that they are not listening to you then you shake your sandals and walk away ..this is the true behaviour of a Christian. A Christian should not display stubborness [stubborness is lack of Humility, what is more important? To be right or to be humble?] - even if they are correct. Food for thought, I would be interested to hear your comments on my talk page :-) Vasiliki 00:22, May 1, 2008 (UTC)

I should add, I too am pretty stubborn, you can track my stubborness through various talk discussions but I give my opinion once, twice and the third but then I stop ... because obviously right or wrong ..that is not what the general consensus is. Remember, when you dont pay for a service you really do not have the right to dominate it. If anything you are a guest and as a guest I must display a certain level of graciousness to my host!
