St. Sabbas the Sanctified Orthodox Monastery is a mens monastery under the Patriarchate of Bulgaria, using the Julian Calendar. The Monastery follows the Russian Tradition since it was formed under the Russian Church Outside of Russia. With the blessing of Metropolitan Laurus St. Sabbas was granted permission to go under the Omophorion of The Patriarchate of Bulgaria for reasons of practicality and support. St. Sabbas is ethnically Russian serving the Russian, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Ukranian communities in Metropolitan Detroit.
