Politis is the pseudonym of a London-Greek academic and member of the Archbishopric of Thyateira and Great Britain; it comes from the ancient Greek πολίτης and means citizens, including the obligations and responsibilities that go with it. It is semantically linked to 'polis' (city), cosmopolitan (citizen of the world) and politics (in this case, used in its Aristotelian sense of, the philosophy of human affairs).
