This is an ongoing attempt to hone my prayer rule. I plan to go through mostly circa-1900s prayer books and hymn collections and "try out" text that speaks to me in my daily prayer rule over time.

Primary Sources

Most stuff is planned to be from Online books, but updated to modern speech by me.

Father's Advice

(Paraphrased from notes, not direct quotes.)

  • Don't be afraid to change up prayers; find ones that speak to you.
  • Commit to prayers; stay engaged while saying them. Better a small number said consistently and with attention than a large number you just slog through.

Prayers to Specific Saints

I plan to find or create prayers to the large number of saints in my prayer corner over time.
