Tikhon (Troitsky) of San Francisco

His Grace the Right Reverend Tikhon (Troitsky) of San Francisco was Archbishop of San Francisco and Western America during the 1940s through to the 1960s. He was one of the bishops who remained with the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad during the schism of the Metropolia in the 1940s. The bishops voted 4 out of 9 to leave the Russian Church Abroad at the infamous Cleveland Sobor He was succeeded by Saint John Maximovitch in 1962. He is buried in Jordanville New York.
