Talk:Vitaly (Ustinov) of New York

Technically speaking, Metropolitan Vitaly is no longer the "First Hierarch" of "ROCiE", since after a shuffle and scuffle at Mansonville he was "replaced" by Nikita (Orloff), alias "Archbishop" Anthony.

Well, please change it for us, then. And don't forgot to sign your comments (using four tildes, or the squiggly ~ marks). Gabriela 22:40, September 22, 2006 (CDT)

Personally, I'm for removing the reference to ROCE all together. What do others think? My reasoning is that Metropolitan Vitaly never served as "First Hierarch" of "ROCiE"; a group of people used his name on ROCiE documents.

Whatever anyone may think about it, the ROCE regarded him as their First Hierarch, and documents were put out by them with his signature on them, and he was certainly in their company. At the very least, there should be an inclusion of his departure/abduction (whichever it was) from the ROCOR(L) and his involvement (whatever it might have been) with the ROCE. It seems to me that removing all references to the ROCE is a bit historically revisionist. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs 13:02, November 21, 2006 (PST)
