Talk:Stephanos (Pantanassiotis)

I do not dare put this into the article for fear of the information not being factual. However, I have heard through 'dinner' conversations with friends of the monastery, that Father Stephanos had saved up, through inheritance and through his years of working, his money with the dream of building a monastery ... one day. With the funds he saved, he purchased the property ... it would be interesting to discover if this is a truth. -- Vasiliki 17:26, January 20, 2008 (PST)

I can certainly confirm that the land was bought by Fr Stephanos (as, I'm fairly sure, a personal purchase, rather than in any official capacity) with, if I may put it this way, a concrete dream of building a monastery one day. How the funds came about never came up, but a combination between inheritance and income (in his case, from being Vicar-General) is a fairly standard way of getting money :) but how he got the money is probably a side issue for the article in any event. — edited by Pιsτévο talk complaints at 22:22, January 23, 2008 (PST)
