Talk:Pentecostarion

I changed the section referencing the "All Saints of [Place]" as referring to the Slavic churches; the Byzantine churches do not have this custom. They do sometimes celebrate "All Saints of [Place]," but not on the Second Sunday after Pentecost.

I also removed the link of "local church" to reference the autonomous and autocephalous churches; these are manifestly not the "local church" in the traditional, theological sense, a term reserved for what we now refer to as the diocese, i.e. a bishop with his clergy and people gathered around him at the Eucharist. The Church's history shows a development of various supra-diocesan administrative structures, so to give a temporal structure of this sort the theological identity of "local church" is to place a definition which is Traditional and permanent on something transitory. (This unfortunate identification has come to be one of the manifestations of nationalism in the Church.) —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 09:12, April 28, 2006 (CDT)
