Doesn't Nea Moni mean "New Monastery"? The title of this article would thus seem a bit redundant ("Monastery of New Monastery"). —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 00:28, May 6, 2008 (UTC)

"Technically" you are right but you are also not since that is actually how it is referred to ... and it is also known on a official scale (EU etc) as the <<Monastery of "New Moni" of Chios>>, see UNESCO link ... so I am using what is is referred to in official documents and is known in Greece Vasiliki 00:35, May 6, 2008 (UTC)
Okey-doke! Out of curiosity, what is the full name in Greek? —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 01:05, May 6, 2008 (UTC)
Okey-dokey ..hehehe Am I allowed to say to a priest: "Ok Smarty Pants, it turns out, in Greek, it is <<Η Νέα Μονή της Χίου, Χίος>> Google hits 161,000 versus Ιερά Μονή Νέα Μονή της Χίου, Χίος Google Hits 37,300. You win! LOL, sorry change it to <<Nea Moni of Chios>> if you like. Vasiliki 03:11, May 6, 2008 (UTC)
