Talk:Merry Christmas

This phrase certainly is a mainstay of English-speaking culture, but how does it relate directly to Orthodoxy? At most, I think it might warrant a single line (or even just a clause) in the Nativity article. Christ is born! Glorify Him! is the standard Orthodox Nativity greeting. —Fr. Because at this time of year many non-Orthodox people will Google the phrase and if they decide to check it out on OrthodoxWiki, I would like them to find a half interesting article available on this wiki which MIGHT lead them to perhaps even pursue other Orthodox articles ... a bit of PR doesnt hurt Father Andrew ... Merry Christmas in the Spirit of Christ I pray that those that fall on this article fall in love with Christ as much as we ALL are .... Vasiliki 03:03, December 24, 2008 (UTC)
They're even more likely to be Googling "Britney Spears" or "Barack Obama." I'm deleting the article, because it really doesn't belong in an Orthodox encyclopedia. I intend no offense, but I don't think that PR is a good enough reason to keep it. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs (THINK!) 20:46, December 24, 2008 (UTC)
