I propose, as a guideline for OrthodoxWiki articles on Latvian Orthodoxy to use the Russian variants of those names in Latvian Orthodoxy that are Russian and the Latvian variants of those names that are Latvian.

Thus, I propose we write Alexander Kudryashov, not Aleksandrs Kudrjašovs, for the Metropolitan of Riga. However, we write Jānis Bērziņš, not John Berzin for the ROCOR Bishop of Caracas.

Just a thought. --Aleks 23:50, June 21, 2008 (UTC)
