The office of chorepiscopos is extant still in the Syrian tradition, both Orthodox and Catholic. One need only to look at various church websites to find clergy with the title. I know that it is used by the Syrian Orthodox Church and by Rome's Syro-Malankara Church. The rank still exists in the Orthodox Church of Romania. It is a bit obtuse to say it is extinct in the Orthodox Church, even if it is extinct in the Roman Catholic Church. Chrisg 01:45, July 2, 2008 (UTC)
