Talk:Apostolos

Revision as of 12:55, June 19, 2007 by Andrew (talk | contribs) (Suggestion about the Title)

Is there a compelling reason to list all of the epistles here in addition to the listing here? [[User:Magda|—magda (talk)]] 14:44, 6 Aug 2005 (EDT)

Suggestion about the Title

I would suggest changing the title of this article to "Epistle Book", since most English speaking Orthodox speak of reading "the Epistle" rather than reading the "Apostolos" or the "Apostol". Not a big deal, but I think that title better reflects commons usage.

I disagree, since Apostolos (or Apostol) is how the book is most often actually titled. This is an article on a technical term, just as the articles on the Horologion, Hieratikon, Liturgikon (etc.) are. —Fr. Andrew talk contribs 05:46, June 19, 2007 (PDT)
I agree with Fr. Andrew, the book contains more than just Epistles, the Acts of the Apostles is also part of this book. Another choice may be Apostolic Readings - Andrew 05:55, June 19, 2007 (PDT)
