Archimandrite Stephanos (Pantanassiotis, né Papanastasiou, Pappas) is the current abbot of Pantanassa Monastery in Mangrove, Australia, and spiritual father of Holy Cross Monastery. Formerly the Vicar-General of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia during the 1970s, he now resides on Mangrove Mountain in his monastery; and, as a much-loved and sought after spiritual father, hears confession weekly in Sydney.
In his role as vicar-general, Archimandrite Stephanos represented the Archdiocese at the founding of SCCOCA in 1979.
