The holy, glorious, all-laudable '''Apostle Silas''' is numbered among the [[Apostles#The_Seventy|Seventy Apostles]]. St. Silas went the with Sts. [[Apostle Paul|Paul]] and [[Apostle Barnabas|Barnabas]] from [[Antioch]] to [[Jerusalem]] to settle the dispute among believers there about [[circumcision]]. Following this he went traveling with St. Paul through Asia and Macedonia and was eventually made [[Bishop]] of [[Corinth]]. He reposed peacefully in the Lord. The Church remembers St. Silas on [[July 30]].
