{{orthodoxyinaustralasia}}His Eminence '''Joseph (Harkiolakis)''' is the former Metropolitan of New Zealand, and served between 2003 and August 2005. ==Auxillary Bishop==He was consecrated on the [[December 3|3rd of December]], 1989, and served the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia]] as the auxillary bishop (of Arianzos). His longest term was in Adelaide, guiding the Third Archdiocesan District of South Australia and the Northern Territory. After this, he was moved to Melbourne as the second auxillary bishop, resposible for the Second Archdiocesan District of Victoria and Tasmania. ==Metropolitan of New Zealand==Soon after, he was elected Metropolitan of New Zealand, against the wishes of the Archbishop of Australia.
