:Hi, I understand your point about 'Anglophone' people understanding it .. however, a lot of the English language is by far based on 'Greek' ... Theotokonymia is a legitimate english expression ... as are all word relating to 'phobia' etc. I think its not too good to deviate away from this word since this is an Encyclopedia for Orthodox not for cultures - though is not "Theotokos" universal as is "panagia" ... These are my thoughts ... I hope that the decision is to maintain this word ..it truly is unique to our Panagia ... [[User:Ixthis888|Vasiliki]] 22:29, January 23, 2008 (PST)
:: Theotokonymia is not used in English the same way as ''panagia'' and ''Theotokos'' is used. I think it would be better to have an English title for the article. I also think the the titles themselves should have the English translation in the list with other languages in parentheses. (The [[OrthodoxWiki:Style_Manual#Standard_English_Usage_and_Spelling| OrthodoxWiki Style Manual]] is not clear on this, but it should be updated to include English terms.
