While I am confident that the early and authentic tradition of our Church is opposed to capital punishment, I am sad to say that there is more than one position on this issue today. Moreover, I do object to editorials posing as encyclopedia articles. --[[User:Fr Lev|Fr Lev]] 07:10, February 27, 2007 (PST)
:Honestly, my personal opinion on this issue has vacillated over time, and I'm now open to persuasion either way, so I'm not objecting to protesting the contentof the article itself, though I do think there are a couple weak points (e.g. Kind of makes you wish we still had ecumenical councils, doesnisn't itobvious that to strike someone a ''mortal'' blow means to kill them? My main objection ). But I'm honestly not sure what to think about capital punishment. :However, this is just clearly a submitted article and should be put under that it heading, not in the middle of another article of an entirely different style. It seems very strange for the intro and conclusion end sections to say that there's no single Church position and the middle to assert a very definite position. Maybe I'll clean up As such, it would be nice to know who the new section author is and try to make put it under the links at the bottom, where it cohere bettermore properly belongs.
