At the end of my career in banking and corporate communications, my husband and I left London and moved to Dorset (UK) and started our own business as freelance translators. My husband was ordained a Sub-deacon and later a Deacon at the Antiochian Greek Orthodox Christian Church of Saint Edward in Athelhampton. In 2015, His Eminence Metropolitan Silouan of the British Isles and Ireland asked my husband to serve in the Antiochian Greek Orthodox Christian Church of Saint Dunstan of Canterbury in Parkstone, Poole. His Eminence has ordained my husband a Priest on 29 July 2018, and he currently serves as Assistant Priest at Saint Dunstan's.
My role in the parish is as project manager for much-needed restoration work to the Grade II* listed building, and coordinator of various activities aimed at strengthening local community links.
