On [[April 21]], 2010, Fr Basil arrived in Sydney, Australia, to assist in the administration of the Archdiocese<ref>http://www.antiochianarch.org.au/resources/news/English_Monthly_News_Bultein_May_201011.pdf</ref>. Fr Basil was appointed the parish priest of St Mary's in Mount Pritchard, Sydney.
Fr Basil's father was George, who reposed in December 2014<ref>http://www.antiochianarch.org.au/NewsItem.aspx?i=524</ref>.
