My name is Peter Abadeer, I am a Coptic Orthodox Christian. I am hoping to create a wiki for Coptic Tradition liturgical texts in English, in an effort to harmonize the different translations. As a relatively new community in the English-speaking world, we continue to struggle with having one source for English translation of liturgical texts, since most of the translators do it as a service and not in a scholarly manner. I was hoping to create that set of pages within OrthodoxWiki (vs. a general wiki or create my own). In a way, I am hoping to act as the spark to help start this project, only to and leave in the hands of more capable folks.
