==Life==
Little is known of the life of Metropolitan Simeon. He was of Serbian origin and was appointed to the [[see]]of Kazan on [[February 7]], 1646, succeeding Metr. Matthew who had reposed on [[January 13]], 1646. Metr. Simeon died on [[September 26]], 1649 and was buried in the [[Annunciation Cathedral (Kazan Kremlin, Russia)|Kazan Annunciation]] [[cathedral]] at the north wall.
