He was born in Brisbane, Australia, graduating from Brisbane State High School before graduating from [[St Andrew's Greek Orthodox Theological College (Sydney, Australia)|Saint Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College]] in 2001. His Grace Bishop Silouan (Fotineas) of Sinope is a hierarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, within the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.
