Saint Tikhon’s Summer Camp is a one-week overnight camp program for Orthodox Christian children between the ages of 7 and 17. The camp is sponsored by the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania of the Orthodox Church in America. It is held on the grounds of St. Tikhon's Orthodox Monastery (South Canaan, Pennsylvania) and St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary (South Canaan, Pennsylvania) annually during the first week of July.

History

The camp program was founded in 1971 as an initiative of St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary (South Canaan, Pennsylvania) to encourage fellowship among Orthodox Christian youths. In 2011, the camp began operating under the Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania, with new leadership from the Diocesan Office of Young Adult Activities.

Program

The daily camp program includes morning and evening prayers services, a religious education program, and recreational activities. The Teen Camp program, established in 2005, places participants ages 14-17 in a separate track focusing on higher-level education for their age group.
