Saint Katherine College is a liberal arts and sciences college in San Diego, California, United States and is an independent college closely associated with the Orthodox Christian Community.

The College emphasizes teaching and research—with relevance to the practical world and Christian witness as guiding principles: Inquiry Seeking Wisdom. College programs encompass several academic disciplines and degree-granting programs, as well as interdisciplinary collaborations, laboratories, and programs whose work cuts across traditional departmental boundaries. These aims are realized in a singularly collegial, interdisciplinary atmosphere, while educating outstanding students to become creative members of society. Saint Katherine College is independent, coeducational, and privately endowed and admits students of all religious and faith backgrounds. Saint Katherine College offers degree programs leading to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in Art, Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Economics, English Language and Literature, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, Music, Philosophy, Public Policy, and Theology.

Mission

We accomplish our Vision by integrating an Orthodox Christian witness in all of our educational and research programs and in our service to the community at large.

Church Affiliation

The College community is independent, but it is closely associated with the Orthodox Christian community. There are approximately 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide committed to the faith as revealed in Holy Scripture, the Nicene Creed, and the historic texts and Ecumenical councils of the Orthodox Christian Tradition.

SKC Press

By publishing serious works that contribute to a global understanding of human affairs from a range of Christian perspectives, Saint Katherine College Press participates in the discovery and dissemination of inquiry seeking wisdom, which is a central purpose of the College. The publications of the Press are the Saint Katherine Review and books and other materials that further scholarly investigation, advance interdisciplinary inquiry dialogue, stimulate public debate, educate both within and outside the classroom, and enhance cultural life. The Press is committed to increasing the range and vigor of intellectual pursuits within the College and the community at large.
