A '''Robber Council''' is a council which the Church has deemed outside the Orthodox [[faith]] and [[praxis]]. Such councils often included [[bishop]]s within the Church acting against the [[Tradition]] of the faith, frequently deposing [[saint]]s from their episcopal sees, preaching [[heresy]], and so on.
