The Orthodox Theological Society in America (OTSA), was organized with the backing of the Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in the Americas (SCOBA) to promote Orthodox theology, fellowship and cooperation among Orthodox Christians. And to coordinate the work of Orthodox theologians in the Americas.

The Society continues to be a recognized Orthodox institution by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of North America, the successor body to SCOBA.
