My two cents about inactive language wikis
That==Purpose of this article==As is stated at the top of the article, OrthodoxWiki:News is about news regarding the OrthodoxWiki website. It is not about Orthodox news in general. &mdash;[[User:ASDamick|<font size="3.5" color="green" face="Adobe Garamond Pro, Garamond, Georgia, Times New Roman">Fr. FrJohn== My two cents about inactive language wikis ==
As long as feedback is being sought, here is my thoughts on the matter:Yeah I think it would be a shame to make even the smallest one completely inaccessible, and Idon't know what you had in mind for archiving them, but to break all the current links wouldn't be my choice either. However, could ones that have very few pages or very little activity maybe be "locked down" as inactive until the time that there'm pretty happy about s sufficient interest to maybe unlock it, tooagain. Idon've t know if the user accounts have to be created for each language separately, but if all accounts get created through the English version, I could see how this *could* invite spammers to, say, create an account on the English wiki, and then trash one in another language. Secondly, I guess I would also written suggest that "sufficient interest" to Holy Transfiguration Monastery start/resurrect a language wiki would maybe start with at least 3-5 people, because in Bostonmy two decades on the internet now, but I havenonly know of a couple of websites that are truly comprehensive on their subjects and been consistently maintained and updated through the long haul (10+ years) by one person. (The Charley Project and Cyndi't heard from them yets List are the ones that come to mind. --) Katjuscha (Rdr. Andrewtalk) 03:30, May 13, 2016 (UTC)
-----The BBC website at http://newsThanks, Katjuscha.bbc.co.uk I do think there is reporting that Patriarch Eirenaios has been deposed some degree of responsibility to preserve work done by people in a letter signed by thirteen bishopsthe community. This apparently has I would not like any good contribution to do with selling some property in the Old City of Jerusalem go to a Jewish organizationwaste. Perhaps mention could be made on On the news page other hand, each localization comes with some maintenance overhead, and on the page pruning makes for the Church of Jerusalema better overall user experience. Tks, Ed Eddieuny 22:10 UTC 5 May 2005 ::Hi EdRight now, I just read am thinking that story too. I think we shouldn't try to reflect every news update that comes - that's a losing game! We can certainly reflect the events in the article once the dust settles at least IT and everything becomes history thoughTL should be archived. ThanksOf course, they could be reconstituted if there is sufficient interest. — [[User:FrJohn|Fr.
