His Eminence Nicholas (Drosos) of Karpenision is the Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Karpenision under the jurisdiction of the Church of Greece. The metropolis is located in central Greece. He has been the metropolitan since 1979.

Life

Metr, Nicholas was born in 1929 in Emporio on the island of Thera in the Aegean Sea. He received his theological education at the University of Athens. Entering the Holy Orders, he was ordained a deacon in 1958 and a priest in 1959.

Father Nicholas was elected to the episcopate by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece on November 1, 1979 and enthroned Metropolitan of Karpenision.
