The Monastery of Martyrius was a large Christian monastery in the Judean hills east of Jerusalem. It was founded in the late fifth century and bears the name of Martyrius, a Patriarch of Constantinople, who probably built and supported it. After the Arab invasions of the 630s the monastery was abandoned.
