Mitred Archpriest Michael Li is a clergyman of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. At 2015, he is the most decorated clergyman of the diocese, having been awarded the second pectoral cross.
Biographical timeline
- 1925: Born at the Beijing Spiritual Mission (Beiguan) to an Orthodox family, the oldest of six children. He was raised in the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission, singing in the choir.
- 1939: Graduated from the Mission's middle school.
- 1948: Studied at the Mission's seminary. Tonsured a reader.
- 1949: Michael married Anna (Liu Shirong). Ordained to the diaconate by Abp Victor.
- 1950: Graduated from seminary and ordained to the priesthood by Abp Victor. He was assigned to St Innocent Church, Beijing.
