His Eminence [[Metropolitan]] Agathonikos (Fatouros) of Kitros, Katerini, and Platamon was born in 1937 in Egio, on the southern side of the Gulf of Corinth in Achaia, Greece. He was elected and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of Kitros, Katerini, and Platamon in 1985. His [[cathedra]] is in Katerini.
