Metropolis of Ierissos, Agion Oros and Ardamerion

The Metropolis of Ierissos, Agion Oros and Ardamerion, also Metropolis of Jerissos, Holy Mount and Ardamerion, is one of the metropolises of the New Lands in Greece that is within the jurisdiction of the Church of Constantinople but de facto is administered for practical reasons as part of the Church of Greece under an agreement between the churches of Athens and Constantinople. The metropolis includes the Chalkidiki peninsula in Greek Central Macedonia in northern Greece.

There has been evidence of a bishopric at Ierissos since the late ninth century that became linked to the monastic state of Mount Athos since the tenth century. The area came under Turkish control in 1425.
