His Grace, '''Kallistos (Papageorgapoulos)''' (Κάλλιστος Παπαγεωργόπουλος; 1878 - 1940<ref>Demetrius Kiminas "The Ecumenical Patriarchate", page 133</ref>) was the first ruling [[Bishop]] of San Francisco under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of North and South America]] of the [[Church of Constantinople|Ecumenical Patriarch]]ate. The [[diocese]] is now the [[Metropolis of San Francisco]]. He served from 1927 to 1940.

Bishop Kallistos immigrated to the United States of America in 1905 to become the [[priest]] at the [[parish]] of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Pueblo, Colorado, where he served until 1915. At that time he was assigned as priest of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in San Francisco.
