Whatever the original intent of Chrysostom, his writings have been circulated by many groups in an attempt to foster [[anti-Semitism]] or opposition to Christianity. One of the groups to do with was use him thus were the Nazis during World War II, who . They used it John to try to convince Christians in Germany and Austria that the Jews deserved to be exterminated.
Additionally, Orthodox Christians throughout the world participate in St. John's [[Divine Liturgy]] nearly every week and hear his famous [[Paschal Homily]] at every [[Pascha]].
