His Grace, the Most Reverend Job (Smakouz), Bishop of Kashira, is the Administrator of the Russian Orthodox Church Parishes in Canada that are directly under the canonical authority of the Church of Russia.

Life

Bishop Job was elected to the episcopate in early 1997. He was tonsured a monk on April 17, 1997 and given the name Job (Iov). His consecration as a bishop was on August 19, 1997.

Bishop Job is currently Administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in Canada. From 2009 until early March 2010, he was also acting administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the United States of America during the period after the return to Russia of the then administrator, Bishop Mercurius of Zaraisk, and the arrival of his successor His Eminence Justinian, Archbishop of Naro-Fominsk.
