His Eminence Job (Getcha), Archbishop of Telmessos, is the head of the Patriarchal Exarchate for Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe, Ecumenical Patriarchate. He speaks French, English, Russian, Ukrainian and Greek.

Biography

  • 1974 Jan 31: Igor Wladimir Getcha was born in Montreal, Canada to parents of Ukrainian descent.
  • 1974 Apr 27: Baptised at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St Sophia, Montreal.
  • 1983-92: Served as acolyte at Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St Sophia, Montreal.
  • 1985-92: Studied at Collège Français (Montreal), and achieved a Secondary school certificate (DES) in 1990 and a College certificate (DEC) in 1992.
  • 1992-96: Studied at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, and achieved a Bachelor of Arts.
  • 1992-96: Studied St Andrew's College, Winnipeg, and achieved a Bachelor of Theology.
  • 1992-96: Served as subdeacon of Metr. Basil of Winnipeg.
  • 1996 Sep 28: Tonsured riassophore monk by Metr. Basil of Winnipeg (UOCC)
