:"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isa. 7:14; KJV)

Oriental Orthodox variation
Between 325 and 681, Christians theologically articulated their view of the nature of Jesus Christ by a series of seven Ecumenical Councils. These councils described Christ as one person with a fully human and a fully divine nature, a doctrine known as the Hypostatic Union. The Oriental Orthodox church, only recognise the first three ecumenical councils so they reject this dogmatic definition of the Council of Chalcedon.
