The Reverend Father '''Habeeb Kheshy''' (1894-1948) was the son of the [[hieromartyr]] [[Nicholas Kheshy]] and a [[parish]] [[priest]] of the [[Archdiocese of Damascus]]. He was murdered by a group of Muslim smugglers on [[July 16Islam|Muslim]], 1948smugglers, who tortured and then killed him for his Christian faith, on [[July 16]], 1948.

Though he has not yet been [[canonization|canonized]] by the [[Church of Antioch]], a popular [[veneration]] to of him exists among the faithful of the Archdioceses of Damascus and [[Archdiocese of Haurun|Haurun]] as , where he is called "the New Hieromartyr Habeeb."
