In 1972 he was ordained titular Bishop Natrun, Assistant Bishop of the Metropolis Eirenoupolis.
On 30 November 1979 he was deposed because of the [[schism]], which has caused Kenya. Then came in communion with the Greek old calendar group. Reposed in 1987.
On 1 November 2006 the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Alexandria posthumously restored Bishop George.
