His Grace Ezekiel of Dervis is currently the titular bishop of Dervis, serving as the auxiliary bishop to Archbishop Stylianos, responsible for the Second Archdiocesan District of Victoria and Tasmania.
His Grace Ezekiel was born in Akrita Kilkis, Macedonia, in 1938. After his graduation from Constantinople's Halki Theological College, he was ordained to the diaconate in July and went to Sydney to serve the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia around 1960. He was ordained to the priesthood and assigned to the Greek Orthodox Church in Dubbo, NSW, and soon after to All Saints Church in Belmore, Sydney (~1962).
He was to stay at All Saints for 15 years until he was elected Titular Bishop of Dervis on 1 March 1977, as auxiliary bishop to Archbishop Stylianos. He was assigned to Perth to serve the Church in Western Australia; after three years of service he was assigned to Adelaide. In 1984, Bishop Ezekiel was assigned to Melbourne, where he has served in the Archdiocese ever since.
