The [[Metropolis of Chios]], Psara and Oinouses is a metropolis in the New Lands of Greece, under the [[jurisdiction]] of the [[Church of Constantinople|Ecumenical Patriarchate]]. ==Life==
Metr. Dionysios (MpairaktarisBairaktaris) was born, near Athens, on the island of Euboea in Greecein 1927. He studied theology at the University of Athens from which he graduated in 1956. He was ordained a deacon on [[March 19]], 1952 and served as the Archdeacon of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens until his ordination as a presbyter on [[November 20]], 1960. He served as a military priest in the Greek Navy from 1960 until 1978.
Father Dionysios was elected to the [[episcopate]] in on [[November 6]] 1979 and [[consecration of a bishop|consecrated]] Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Chios, Psara and Oinouses on [[November 1011]], 1979. He reposed on [[July 17]], 2011.
