==History==
The diocese was formed from the seven regions of the Archdiocese at the time in 2004 after the Patriarchate of Antioch granted “Self-Rule” for the Archdiocese in response to the petition in 2001 for “Self-Rule” status by the ruling hierarch Metr. [[Philip (Saliba) of New York|Philip]] and the General Assembly of the Archdiocese. At present Metr. Philip administers  After his election and consecration in 2011, the diocese as a diocesan is currently administered by His Grace [[bishopJohn (Abdalah) of Worcester and New England|Bishop John]] has not been elected.
