Cosmas II of Alexandria
This article or section is a stub (i.e., in need of additional material). You can help OrthodoxWiki by expanding it.
Cosmas II of Alexandria was patriarch for three periods, first as Patriarch of the Church of Alexandria from 1712 to 1714, then Patriarch of the Church of Constantinople, as Cosmas III, from 1714 to 1716, and then again as Patriarch of the Church of Alexandria from 1723 to 1736.
Little is known of his life. Patr. Cosmas reposed in 1736.
He is not to be confused with a Coptic Orthodox patriarch who has the same name: Pope Cosmas II of Alexandria (Coptic) reigned from 851 to 858.
