Congregation of Orthodox Christian Peoples

The Congregation of Orthodox Christian Peoples is a non-monastic revival movement within the Serbian Orthodox Church that had its origin in the late nineteenth century as the Bogomoljac ("God-Prayers") Movement. The movement resembles the Zoe Brotherhood of Greece and the Army of the Lord of Romania. While the Congregation has been controversial for its pietistic tendencies, as have the other movements, the movement in Serbia seems to have had the support of some of the leading figures of twentieth century Serbian Orthodox Christianity, including Ss. Nicholas of Zica and Justin Popovich.
