He appears to have received ordination from a [[bishop]] in Canada that was outside the Orthodox Church, then went to New Zealand where he encouraged the Orthodox Syrians to found St Michael's, pastoring it between 1913-16, and went to Australia where he had close ties to the Bolshevik group in Brisbane. He was arrested for extortion, demanding outrageous amounts of money for baptisms [[baptism]]s and weddings, and disappeared from the religious scene when Fr . [[Paul Korchinsky ]] came to Australia, at the request of the Russian Imperial Consul-General. He died in 1925 and is buried in Queensland.
