The Right Reverend Archimandrite Basil (Kodseie) is a priest in the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. On July 1, 2017, on the repose of Metr. Paul (Saliba), he was appointed the Patriarchal Vicar of the Archdiocese by Patriarch John X of Antioch.

Biographical Details

  • Fr Basil's father was George, who reposed in December 2014.
  • On April 21, 2010, Fr Basil arrived in Sydney, Australia, to assist in the administration of the Archdiocese. [1]
  • Fr Basil was appointed the parish priest of St Mary's in Mount Pritchard, Sydney.
  • In 2014, Fr Basil participated in the inaugural NSW Religious Leaders' Forum on behalf of the Archdiocese. [2]
  • On July 1, 2017, after the repose of Metropolitan Paul, Fr Basil was appointed the Patriarchal Vicar of the Archdiocese. [3]
