Apostle Tychicus

The holy, glorious, all-laudable '''Apostle Tychicus''' is one of the [[Apostles#The_Seventy|Seventy Apostles]], and was a [[bishop]] in Caesarea. He is commemorated by the Church on [[January 4]] with the Seventy; and on [[December 8]] with Ss. [[Apostle Apollo|Apollos]], [[Apostle Cephas|Cephas]], [[Apostle Sosthenes |Sosthenes]], [[Apostle Epaphroditus|Epaphroditus]], [[Apostle Caesar|Caesar]],and [[Apostle Onesiphorus|Onesiphorus]].

St Tychicus was a disciple and companion of the holy [[Apostle Paul]]. During St Paul's first imprisonment, he delivered the [[Epistle]]s to the Ephesians and to the Colossians. He replaced St Sosthenes as bishop at Caesarea. He departed peacefully to the Lord.
