Apostle Justus

The holy, glorious, all-laudable Apostle Justus is numbered among the Seventy Apostles. He was a son of Joseph the Betrothed and his first wife Salome, along with the Apostle James the Just, the Apostle Jude and Simon. He and the Apostle Matthias were selected to replace Judas Iscariot but ultimately was St. Justus was not chosen. He was Bishop of Eleutheropolis and died a martyr. The Church remembers St. Justus on October 30.
