The holy, glorious, all-laudable '''Apostle Artemas''' of the [[Apostles#The_Seventy|Seventy]] is also commemorated by the Church on [[October 30]] together with Sts [[Apostle Tertius|Tertius]], [[Apostle Mark|Mark]], [[Apostle Cleopas|Cleopas]], and [[Apostle Justus|Justus]] and on [[January 4]] with the Seventy.

St Artemas was [[bishop]] of the Lycian city of Lystra, and he died in peace. [[Apostle Paul|St Paul]] mentions him in his [[Epistle]] to [[Titus]] (3:12), ''I shall send Artemas unto thee.''
